I think that we women are really very strong, that every woman is actually always excelling in something, and not only women, but actually every person. I, when I was sometimes looking for a job so that I could finally work, I didn\’t know what kind of job to do. I had a nursing school, but I didn\’t know if I wanted to do this field, even though everyone told me to go into healthcare because I had this school, so I didn\’t know that it would be something so really challenging. So I ended up going to work at a senior center where I helped retirees and maybe people who were unable to work.
But it really gave me such a bad back that I couldn\’t do it anymore. Then I found out that this job was suitable for men, although I didn\’t see any men there, so I thought to myself that I, a woman, when I am really almost malnourished, that this job would probably not be suitable for me at all. I was really very unhappy about it because I wanted to do this and I wanted to work in a senior center because I have nursing school. I actually have a medical degree. And when I was still in school, I noticed that there were actually a lot of women-. And the women outnumber the men, but that\’s not exactly true.
It also actually depends on each district, because I learned that some gentlemen who live in another district also go to medical school, mainly because that\’s where the demand is actually. I also used to want to be a doctor or a dentist, but I didn\’t manage to do that at all. And you know why I didn\’t? Because I got pregnant. Yes, we women sometimes have it that our careers or our education are thwarted by pregnancy, but I didn\’t mind it so much. I\’m really happy to be a mother and to have a beautiful, healthy baby. And my partner and I are already planning our second child, we women clearly don\’t have it quite so easy.
